Μeasuring blood pressure as a laboratory exercise in the biology classroom: an an interdisciplinary approach to health education
Abstract
This paper proposes the use of blood pressure measurement as a high school-biology experiment in the context of interdisciplinary teaching. The effective dialogue between teacher and students could help in resolving students’ misunderstandings about the human cardiovascular system and in adopting healthy attitudes towards eating and exercise (health education)
