BURN-OUT SYNDROME IN THE FIELD OF HEALTH

Abstract


Burn-out syndrome was firstly referred many years ago, in 1974 by Freudeburger who defined it as the exhaustion of the individual, that is coming from the prolonged use of the active supplies. Since then, the phenomenon composed a matter of systematic research, mainly concerning health professionals, because of the fact that these are the most inclined to burn-out syndrome. The first important studies were promoted and published at the beginning of 1980. Nevertheless, there was not agreement among the authors as far as the definition of burn-out is concerned
