Περίληψη
Εισαγωγή:Η αναγνώριση των γυναικών που βρίσκονται σε υψηλό κίνδυνο για πρόωρο τοκετό (PTB) είναι συχνά δύσκολη. Περισσότερες από τις μισές γυναίκες με αυξημένο κίνδυνο πρόωρου τοκετού θα γεννήσουν τελειόμηνα νεογνά.
Σκοπός:Η διερεύνηση της σχέσης μεταξύ της βιταμίνης Dτης εγκύου με τον πρόωρο τοκετό.
Μέθοδοι:Έγινε βιβλιογραφική ανασκόπηση της υπάρχουσας ηλεκτρονικής και έντυπης βιβλιογραφίας.
Αποτελέσματα: Υπάρχουν διαφωνίες μεταξύ των ερευνητών για τη σχέση μεταξύ της έλλειψης της βιταμίνης D στην διάρκεια της κύησης και του πρόωρου τοκετού. Σύμφωνα με κάποιες μελέτες, η έλλειψη της βιταμίνης D κατά την διάρκεια της κυήσεως σχετίζεται με έναν αυξημένο κίνδυνο πρόωρου τοκετού, ενώ άλλες μελέτες υποστηρίζουν το αντίθετο.
Συμπεράσματα:Υπάρχει ανάγκη για περισσότερες μελέτες στο μέλλον σχετικά με την επίδραση της μητρικής βιταμίνης D και της συμπληρωματικής χορήγησης στον πρόωρο τοκετό, καθώς η πρόληψη του πρόωρου τοκετού αποτελεί παγκόσμια προτεραιότητα.
